Special Announcements

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO JOKE BLAY...I MEAN JOE BLUFF AND JAKE CRAY - WHO ARE NOW 1ST DEGREE BLACK BELTS - WELL DONE AND WE ARE ALL VERY PROUD OF YOU.

ALL FUNDS GOING TO GHANA

On Monday 14th I will be doing a sponsored 'living below the line' to raise money for Ghana.

This means spending just £1 per day on food, drink and anything else I may need.

ALL money raised will go directly to the fund. If you would like to sponsor me I will have the forms at the next lesson.

Money goes a lot further in Ghana so even 10 pence will help.

Thank you for anything you can donate.

Miss Reeve

Day 1 Monday 14th

Things I have learned today...

  • Porridge made with water looks and I suspect tastes just like premixed B&Q wallpaper paste.
  • A cupasoup mixed in with a bowl of rice can actually be quite nice (if you're hungry that is)
  • The ratio of food adverts to anything else on Tv is aprox 3 to 1...
Day 2 Tuesday 15th
Things I have learned today...
  • A caffeine and sugar withdrawal headache lasts exactly 76 hours.
  • Wallpaper porridge does NOT taste better out of posh crockery.
  • The ratio of food to other adverts is actually 12 to 1 - I've counted.
Day 3 Wednesday 16th
Things I have learned today...
  • That caffeine and sugar withdrawal headache only pretends to be over after 76 hours to lull you into a false sense of security...then it sneaks up and stabs you in the back of the eyes with a fork.
  • Cupasoup with rice tastes almost exactly the same as cupasoup with pasta.
  • Almost every song on early morning radio has some obscure reference to a food product - but I'm sure it's not a conspiracy.
Day 4 Thursday 17th
Things I have learned today...
  • Over the last 4 days I have spent 10 x more cash on cat food than human food.
  • Lack of food/coffee leads to very bad decisions - i.e., yes, I shall run the half marathon in September...??????
  • I don't know if I dream in colour but I KNOW I dream in chocolate.
Friday - By 5 minutes past midnight I had polished off a round of toast and jam, half a box of chocolates, 2 oranges and a coffee!
And its been soooooo worth it - the running total, once everyone has given in their pledges, is £360 - thank you everybody who gave.
See you all at the next lesson.
